Sawmill Equipment Engineer: Graduate Mechanical Engineer (BSME) with a minimum of 2 years of practical sawmill engineering experience or equivalent in industrial equipment design with experience designing board edgers, gangs and related material handling equipment preferred, however related or similar practical experience may be suitable as well and will certainly be considered.
This position may include some limited overnight travel to client facilities to establish design requirements and provide startup supervision or troubleshooting of our equipment once it is in the field.
We are looking for someone with great engineering and people skills who will enjoy working with our customers to meet their needs and interface with other project suppliers, or professionals will help make this position a success. Autodesk AutoCad experience required.
Sawmill Equipment Sales and Applications Engineer: Experienced Sawmill Equipment Sales Engineer for a wide ranging territory in the Eastern U.S. representing the company and its affiliated partners to meet with sawmill owners and staff to assess opportunities for equipment and technology applications relevant to our business.
This position will require extensive overnight and local travel to hardwood and softwood sawmills throughout the Eastern US and Canadian regions. Additionally the position will require travel to participate in trade-show events and professional gatherings as required throughout the US and Canada.
The right candidate will have great verbal and written skills, have an in-depth understanding of hardwood and softwood manufacturing needs and process', have prior experience in Capital Equipment Sales in the Lumber Manufacturing sector or a related field and will possess the skills required to evaluate existing process' for improvement opportunities through the application of machinery and technology to improve client operations and profitability.
The position requires a self starter with the ability to perform independently as needed with good computer skills as well as the ability to make and document measurements of sawmill floor plans and equipment layouts to communicate requirements to our engineering staff for equipment bids and design requirements.
This position will require the successful candidate to reside within the Eastern U.S. region.
